I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at so many amazing locations throughout the years, each with it’s own unique charm. However, there's something special about shooting in the heart of the city that adds an extra layer of excitement and creativity to the experience. I had so much fun hopping around town with these two high school sweethearts!
One of the advantages of shooting in the city is the variety of backdrops available within a short distance. From historic buildings to rooftop parkades to the bustling streets, the city offers so many options for capturing different moods and aesthetics in a single session. Unlike shooting in a remote location where travel between spots can be time-consuming, exploring the city allows for quick transitions between various locations. This means we can maximize our time together and capture a wide range of shots (and outfits!) without feeling rushed or restricted.
I find that it's easier to let loose and have fun during a city shoot as well. With so much happening around, couples tend to feel more relaxed, resulting in more natural and candid moments. Plus, the city provides endless opportunities for playful interactions — like dancing on a street corner! There’s also certain romantic allure to the cityscape that adds a timeless quality to engagement photos.
