WEDDING SESSION

Kathy & Anthony's love story began in August 2021 when Kathy's friend insisted she needed to meet Anthony. Anthony, visiting Vancouver the following week, was set up on a casual group hangout at 33 Acres Brewery—a group date in disguise. Despite knowing little about each other, Kathy and Anthony's connection was instant.

Their first date was a classic Vancouver experience: Rain or Shine ice cream followed by a sunset walk on Kitsilano Beach. The next two dates before Anthony returned to Newfoundland for med school laid the foundation for their long-distance relationship. Over the next year, they navigated the challenges of being apart through voice memos, video calls, and holiday visits. Kathy's eventually moved to Fredericton later that year, marking the beginning of a new chapter together.

Fast forward to their engagement: a snowy, romantic scavenger hunt in Pacific Spirit Park, set up by Anthony. Kathy, with her best friend Tiff, was unaware that the hunt was leading to a proposal. Despite the freezing temperatures and a comedic struggle with getting lost in the snow, the scene was set for a memorable engagement. With flowers in hand and a heartfelt (and chilly) speech, Anthony proposed!

The wedding day was an amazing celebration of their love. The ceremony took place at the Immaculate Conception Parish and we then headed to Van Dusen Gardens , capturing their portraits in the lush greenery and floral beauty of one of Vancouver's most iconic locations.To ensure the day ran smoothly, Amanda Marie Events stepped in as the day-of coordinator, orchestrating the various elements of the day. The dinner and festivities were held at Shaughnessy Restaurant and it turned out to be such a lovely evening. Capturing their special day was a joy, and I’m thrilled to share their story with the world!
